Lumi is a Finnish word name meaning, “snow.” While many Finnish names may not feel usable for English speakers because of the linguistic differences, Lumi is extremely approachable. 

    Lumi has never ranked in the top 1000 in the US and was used 55 times for girls last year. It isn’t overly popular in Finland either, although it is on the official name list. Lumi has been used for boys and girls in Finland and Sweden, but the trend leans toward the girls.
